WEISZ TEMPUS is a live interdisciplinary work presented by the Collaborative Artist Company. Five multidisciplinary artists attempt to construct a void like immersive environment . Cinematic, visual, musical, performative and literary arts collide in a multi sensory space. The spectator is invited to move throughout the space and experience the work from a number of perspectives and viewpoints allowing the work to remain ambiguous and open to interpretation.
In this space the codes of cinema and theatre are deliberately subverted with the aim of establishing a new language. A language that borders on the 'void' and 'nothingness', not representing clear-cut things but a language that is open towards its own infinity. It is neither fiction nor reflection, neither already spoken, nor never-before-spoken, but something that is in-between, things stuck in their state of latency, a language about the outside of language, speech about the invisible side of words.
We want to represent, from different perspectives, the inwardness of experience and the outwardness of action. By presenting the cinematic with the live simultaneously, experience and action are separated from each other in order to connect them in a new way. In doing this we aim to confront the reality of illusion with the illusion of reality making the spectator aware of the difference between live and mediatised representations.
